IRCC ANNOUNCES [3] NEW OCCUPATIONAL CATEGORIES

IRCC will be prioritizing three new occupational categories for permanent residence through the Express Entry system: researchers and senior managers with Canadian work experience, transport occupations, and military personnel.

Current categories

1. French-language proficiency
2. Healthcare and social services occupations
3. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) occupations
4. Trade occupations
5. Education occupations
6. Transport occupations
7. Skilled military recruits
8. Physicians with Canadian work experience
9. Senior managers with Canadian work experience
10. Researchers with Canadian work experience

IRCC will continue to prioritize inviting candidates under the categories of French language proficiency, health care and social services, and trades
